Syngenta: Atrazine in Drinking Water Facts

Syngenta, the main manufacturer of atrazine, devotes part of its Web site to atrazine in drinking water facts. Notably, Syngenta points out the EPA sets very conservative standards for chemicals in drinking water that are protective of human health. In the case of atrazine and water, EPA adopted a standard of 3 parts per billion (ppb). This standard is 1,000 times safer than a level shown to have no health effects in laboratory animals.
